Dear Community Partner and Friend,

I greet you with overwhelming enthusiasm about how you can impact thousands of lives by making a pledge toward rebuilding this community one family at a time.

When famous author Robert Louis Stevenson was a little boy in the late 1850’s, the streets of Edinburgh, Scotland were lit with gas lamps.  Each night, a worker would work his way down the street, lighting the flame in each lamp.  One night as young Robert watched, he exclaimed to his mother, “Look at that man knocking holes in the dark!”

We have reached that place where we are so close to fulfilling our vision.  In just a few months, we will move into our new facility on 1020 E. Waco Drive.  Our goal is to knock holes in the darkness so that men, women, boys, and girls of East Waco might see the light. 

God has truly blessed us and we want to be positioned to bless God in a very tangible way, I am asking each of you to take a “leap of faith” and make a tax-deductible financial pledge  that will allow us to finish the vision in excellence.  To date we have financed over $1 million without seeking public support however we need your help to complete a wonderful  addition to the East Waco community and Waco Drive.

By standing with us, through your partnership, prayers, faithfulness, gifts and pledge offering, you position yourself uniquely to receive all that God is releasing NOW in this appointed time. 

Our goal is $250,000 pledged by December 31, 2009 that will aid us in furnishing a state of the art: Interactive Computer Lab, Library and Performing Arts Center located in the Educational Wing of the new facility. By reaching this goal, we will have the resources on hand to immediately begin the expanded services in our GED programming, Afterschool Mentoring, Single parent intervention, and much more.  In order to accomplish this we have set up ten levels of giving. Please reference the attached guide for giving and pledge/giving card.

Your prayerful financial partnership will be a blessing to you as you are blessing others. Together, we will impact the lives of people in East Waco and beyond.  Thank you in advance for making a choice to invest in over 7,000 families that reside in East Waco.  We seek to knock holes in the darkness and bring back the light to our community!
